At BMI, social responsibility moves us and that is why we decided to create an alliance with the Ser Feliz Foundation, which provides help to children and young people with limited resources who suffer from cancer, currently benefiting more than 400 families in our country.

Run4Health was created with the aim of promoting sports and uniting families in order to raise funds to contribute to the Foundation. It fills us with joy to have created this initiative that was carried out in 2 cities: in Quito it was already held on September 24 and in Guayaquil it will take place on October 22.

The Run4Health race in Quito had a great reception, in which we had more than 300 people who went to support the more than 250 runners who gathered in the Metropolitan Park to help the children of the Ser Feliz Foundation.

The race began with warm words of welcome from José Miguel Pérez, Commercial Manager of BMI. Afterwards, we had the respective warm-up provided by the Ecuasistencia physical therapist. Around 7:30 the runners of the 10k category began their journey. While the 5k category runners left at 7:40 am. While families, friends and 2K runners waited for their start time, a Zumba space was provided that generated great enthusiasm in the public.

Later, we received the athletes at the final finish line, each one was given their medal along with the Kit that had several gifts given by the sponsors of the Race and also food that helped to provide energy after their journey. Next, we award the male and female winner of the 10k and 5k categories. In addition, some prizes were raffled where all the runners could participate regardless of the position they reached, because for us, for the simple fact of helping, everyone was already a winner.

At the same time, the sponsors: Cleveland Clinic, Veris, Hospital Metropolitano, Ecuasistencia, SIME and Medilink, provided a space to learn about their services and obtain products for participating in their dynamics.

Also, there was a dedicated space for entertainment, adults could enjoy games of foosball and children the bouncy ball. To sweeten your day, we share granitas, cotton candy and popcorn totally free. We closed the day with a dog show presented by the National Police, which allowed children to be part of the show.

The registered and sponsors who joined this cause, demonstrated that when we move for others we generate a change in the world. So far, with our race in Quito, we have managed to raise $20k, however, we can still continue raising funds and reach a greater contribution for the Foundation with our race in Guayaquil, which will take place on Saturday, October 22. With the support of all, the children and young people of the foundation will receive the greatest possible help, that which they so much need.

We thank everyone who joined this initiative, nothing would have been possible without the greatest help... your contribution and heart.

We also thank our sponsors 15 sponsors who joined this great cause:

Run4Health, when it comes to helping, nothing stops us.
