BMI is driven by the well-being of others, which is why BMI Run4Health was born, a charity race whose main objective is to support healthcare-related foundations. The funds raised in these projects aim to improve the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations.

Furthermore, this initiative brings together families, including pets, friends, and sports enthusiasts with a common goal: maintaining a healthy lifestyle while helping those most in need.

In 2022, $24,619.98 was raised to benefit the Ser Feliz Foundation. In 2023, $39,000 was raised to support the work of the Ser Feliz and Hermano Miguel Foundations. And in 2024, $48,045.90 was distributed among the Ser Feliz, Hermano Miguel, and María Gracia Foundations.

We're excited to be preparing for the fourth edition, a new opportunity to join us and inspire you to take action for those truly in need. Together, we can make a difference.

The Be Happy Foundation, located in Guayaquil, supports more than 400 children and adolescents with cancer, some as young as 2 months old. Their promise is clear: "Never let any child feel alone," and to this end, they promote fun activities for children and their families.

Thanks to the solidarity of BMI Run4Health participants and sponsors, more than 59,000 pesos in supplements, school supplies, and hygiene items were donated in 2022 and 2023 to support the Foundation. In 2024, BMI contributed 16,015.30 pesos to build its support center.

In addition, BMI volunteers have participated in events with the children, and a plastic cap recycling campaign is currently underway to continue supporting the program with nutritional supplements.

The Brother Miguel Foundation supports people with disabilities by providing medical care to the community and comprehensive rehabilitation to people with some physical or functional deficiency or disability, through the provision of medical and therapeutic services and the implementation of technical aids known as orthoses, prostheses and mobility aids.

Achievements reached

Thanks to the solidarity of sponsors and participants in February 2024, the Foundation was able to acquire part of the equipment for the Diabetic Foot Clinic, an important step forward considering that diabetes is the second cause of amputation in our country.

We will continue to support the Foundation throughout 2024 to complete this project.

The Maria Gracia Foundation, is a non-profit institution with 37 years of service, which has saved more than 19,000 low-income children in intensive care units in public hospitals in Guayaquil and other cities.

Since 2022, she has been working on the META 1001 Project, which seeks to reduce chronic childhood malnutrition during the first 1,000 days of life, a key stage for preventing irreversible damage. They currently serve 236 children and 50 expectant mothers, with the goal of expanding this service.

Thanks to the $16,015.30 donated in 2024 by BMI Run4Health, the first group of 50 children who managed to overcome chronic malnutrition graduated, a significant advance in the fight against this condition.
