INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY

Table of Contents:

On the occasion of celebrating the importance of childhood, not only as a stage that we all go through, but also because it creates a collective culture of tolerance, fraternity and good treatment of children around the world. Another important point to consider is the understanding of individual rights that, beyond the cultural and political factors of each country, are issues of priority order for the well-being of any individual, in this case: children.

It should be noted that, although all this is stipulated in the laws, it is not always carried out, especially in countries where people live in extreme poverty or where primary services for leading a healthy life are non-existent.

This is how this holiday was created by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1956 to be able to raise awareness worldwide about the treatment that children should receive and what are their priority rights to lead a quality of life according to their age .

One aspect that generally goes unnoticed is that currently only the 30% of the countries in the world cover the basic needs of the average child, therefore it is important to commemorate this day so that this becomes part of the culture of society.

Here are some important points for basic childcare.

1.-  Affective ties: An important aspect that should not go unnoticed is obtaining stable, unconditional and continuous emotional ties with their family and close environment, since their emotional development depends on that.

2.-  Need for Acceptance: It is important that, on the part of the parents, gestures and words of support and acceptance are received throughout the development of the infant, since in this way they will reinforce the bonds of trust and loyalty between the father figures, as well as the sense of membership within the family in question.

3.- The importance of education: It is worth understanding that, during childhood development, the social stimuli of the environment are those that shape the character of the later adult; Factors such as responsibility, ethics, as well as the way in which we face various situations of daily life have to do directly with the education received at home.
