Type 2 diabetes is a blood disorder that affects the body's process of metabolizing sugar. The blood regulates the effects of insulin, a hormone that is responsible for the movement of sugar in blood cells, so glucose levels are altered, triggering diabetes.

This disease is generally related to older people, but it can affect children, young people and older adults due to poor diet and obesity that currently exists. The symptoms develop slowly, so it is important to know how to identify them in order to see a doctor and receive the appropriate treatment.

The symptoms that a person may present are:

  • constant thirst
  • Need to urinate frequently
  • constant appetite
  • unintentional weight loss
  • Fatigue
  • Blurry vision
  • Areas of darkened skin in the armpits and neck

Glucose is an essential type of sugar for our body because it helps promote energy to our muscles and other tissues. This sugar comes from some foods and accumulates in the liver, the latter is responsible for generating and storing glucose. When glucose levels are low and the entire process of metabolizing sugar in the body doesn't work well, sugar cells build up in the blood causing the bloodstreams to clog causing fatal failures in the body.

Some of the factors that increase the chances of getting type 2 diabetes can be the following:

  • Weight
  • Fat distribution in the human body
  • sedentary lifestyle
  • Family background
  • Age
  • Bad nutrition
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome

The best way to prevent type 2 diabetes is through a healthy lifestyle. Because if you eat correctly and exercise constantly, you can help your body not to contract the disease, even if you have a family history. Remember that a healthy body and mind will always attract positive things into your life.
