This company has a presence in the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America where it offers life insurance and medical expenses for people with high purchasing power.
In 2011, it acquired the share ownership of Aseguradora Mundial-Colectivos Empresariales, SA and in order to enter the Guatemalan market, it requested to change its corporate name to that of BMI Compañía de Seguros de Guatemala, SA
Another company that hopes to enter the country is the English Bupa Investments Overseas Limited.
