The Santiago Hospital is a project that seeks to redefine the experience in hospital services. It is led by the CEO of RSA Real Estate, Guillermo Roseney. It will be under the guidelines of the Baptist Health International hospital, which is recognized as the most awarded health organization in South Florida. The agreement with Baptist Health International implies that Santiago Hospital must operate under the standards of a North American hospital. Which, according to Guillermo, has multiple benefits, including: the transfer of knowledge in technology design, medical protocols and personnel training. The Santiago Hospital will be located in the new Samborondón, in the province of Guayas, on 150 hectares. Which will make it the largest hospital campus in the country. Among its goals is to obtain full Joint Commission International accreditation, an organization that certifies excellence in healthcare by identifying, measuring and sharing best practices in quality and patient safety. Among the advantages of obtaining this certification are: process optimization, compliance with rigorous quality and patient safety standards, international recognition and greater trust on the part of patients.

On the other hand, it demonstrates its commitment to the planet thanks to its environmentally friendly construction. As a result, it will be EDGE certified, a sustainable building certification. Additionally, it will focus on medical research programs on common chronic diseases in the country.

Medical services

It is planned that the Santiago Hospital will be equipped with 200 offices, 4 operating rooms and 70 beds to treat the specialties of: oncology, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology, pediatrics, cardiovascular medicine, pulmonology, allergology, endocrinology, nutrition, geriatrics, among others. . Likewise, it will offer complementary services such as: laboratory, images, physical rehabilitation and more.

The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. On the other hand, the construction of a hotel for medical tourism is planned, which will benefit Ecuadorians to receive first-world care in Ecuador. On the other hand, the project will generate 300 direct jobs and 1,000 indirectly.
