May 9 finally marked the start of BMI Colombia's operations with an event held at the headquarters of its offices in Bogotá. In this crowded session, we had the opportunity to share with different personalities our action strategy in the country, where we found an excellent opportunity to develop the lines of coverage in which we are experts due to our management of more than 40 years.
With the clear objective of positioning itself as one of the benchmarks in the country in terms of life and health insurance, the company seeks to sensitize layers of society regarding the need for asset protection by transferring risk to high-cost diseases or death of any member of the family group. The experience of the group brings Colombians access to the best medicine in the world wherever they are while accompanying them in all the steps of the process, from confirming the diagnosis to receiving the appropriate care and procedures for each case.
We are confident that Colombia will face its short- and medium-term challenges with great success and that its position as the fourth largest economy in the region will be strengthened, presenting an ideal scenario for our growth. Specifically, regarding the insurance industry, we intend to help increase penetration in the different social strata.
