Mother's Day is an important date in all parts of the world. A way to celebrate the one who gave us life and who gives everything for us beyond anything else. We are facing a holiday that exalts women in their role as mother, provider of well-being.
However, it is important to highlight that gender equity has been in question since the beginning of thinking society and today, we are in a time when all this problem, coupled with the high levels of violence that prevails in the modern world, are issues of a primordial order.
The truth is that we are getting closer and closer to the new generations growing up with the notion that men and women are equal. Although it seems that we are still far from reaching this goal, it is the beginning of a collective conscience based on gender respect.
This celebration that takes place in more than 80 countries around the world was conceived in 1908 by Ann Jarvis in honor of her deceased mother in the United States, and it was through her activist work that this was gradually adhering to the culture popular. The woman in the role of mother is one of the most arduous and least recognized professions in the history of mankind. For this reason, at BMI we are happy to congratulate and recognize all the women who are mothers, for their constant work, their iron patience and their unshakable perseverance. A day to celebrate motherhood.
