Health to all, what should I do to have a prolonged youth?

Table of Contents:

In the times that run be healthy stands for happiness and tranquilityWe live in a society that is much more aware of the importance of preventing diseases, exercising, sleeping well, cultivating our cognitive functions and prolonging our youth as much as possible through a healthy lifestyle.

Achieving this lifestyle is a challenge because most of the time it means starting from scratch, creating a routine, eating healthy and avoiding complex situations such as stress that is difficult to achieve when you work, are a mother or a father, have exhausting work days and worries are a constant.

It is important that you know that this negativity is what you should avoid because many studies indicate that happiness is associated with chemical neurotransmitters such as: serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and prolactin, that the body releases when you exercise, sleep well, laugh and your body perceives tranquility.  These neurotransmitters have a very good effect at the cardiovascular level, strengthen the immune system, increase the production of antibodies, modulate the immune response and slow aging.

Remember that our body produces these types of hormones when you are happy and, therefore, you have to try to increase their production levels in your day to day with a series of habits and routines that will not only help you to have good health, but also to slow down the aging of your body.

  1. The first thing you should do is perform physical exercise. The benefit is almost immediate and once you start the chances of living a longer life, but in good health, increase. Creating this exercise routine will separate you from a sedentary lifestyle and you will have a much greater sense of well-being that will also help you prevent certain problems such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, anxiety, various types of cancer, arthritis, among others.
  2. Sleep well and having a restful sleep is also vital for a good state of health, it is like making an investment of time that will give results in the short, medium and long term. Adequate sleep establishes an energy and molecular balance, improves intellectual function, increases alertness and good humor. Likewise, it prevents heart disease and promotes cell regeneration in your body.
  3. The next step you should follow is to eat healthy, if you want to stay young and healthy you should include in your diet foods rich in Vitamin C, because these help the absorption of iron, the immune system works better and also favors the production of collagen (you can find it in oranges, broccoli, pineapple, kiwi among others).

Now, if you frequently eat carrots, spinach and peppers, you are adding beta carotene to your body and these help lower bad cholesterol levels, but they also work as antioxidants, renewing your skin and mucous membranes. It is also important to add Vitamin AND because it helps dilate blood vessels and keep skin healthy (usually found in foods like olive oil, nuts, and green leafy vegetables).

  1. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption Because both wither the skin, you should also not include saturated fats, sausages, and sugars because they increase the risk of cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
  2. Includes activities that help exercise your brain like reading frequently, learning a language, studying, solving crosswords or puzzles, meditating and practicing yoga. All these actions help cognitive training and will allow you to have a more lucid mind, you will avoid neurodegenerative diseases, you will be able to delay or even prevent memory loss and you will also favor your reasoning speed.
  3. Finally, we recommend you do regular medical exams -because if you want to look good and prolong it over time- you must start as soon as possible with a healthy lifestyle that also becomes your pattern of life.

Dr. Javier González, Medical Director of Global Reach Health (Global Reach Health – You Reach and We Care ) recommends frequent medical examinations, This routine control will allow you to detect medical problems in time, assess the risk of future problems, encourage a healthy lifestyle, stay up-to-date with your immunizations, and help each person become familiar with their provider in case of illness.
