In a world full of challenges and adverse moments, socially responsible companies with a clear sense of the value of empathy and solidarity are needed.
In that sense, BMI Guatemala joined the Ronald McDonald Foundation to carry out a volunteer day with the “Nutritious Lunch Boxes” project carried out by this institution in the pediatric area of the Roosevelt Hospital.
Once a month the foundation prepares 200 nutritious lunch boxes that delivers on each visit. This is possible thanks to the backing and support of different volunteers who join this initiative whose purpose is that mothers and fathers can have food while they wait for their children to be treated and receive the medical treatment they need.
During the delivery of the lunch boxes, the atmosphere was filled with great emotion because the BMI collaborators were able to see and learn first-hand different stories of families who are going through difficult times. Likewise, they corroborated that many times the simplest actions can generate a significant impact on people's lives.
This type of volunteering will be carried out frequently to benefit the Ronald McDonald Foundation because it is part of the continuous commitment that BMI Guatemala has assumed as a company.
Projects like this are a reminder about the importance of making a small difference in the lives of the most vulnerable sectors. For this reason, BMI has set itself the goal of continuing to participate and provide support to those who face difficult times in vulnerable sectors and areas of Guatemala.
