The third edition of the race BMI Run4Health Not only did it bring together more than 800 participants in Quito and Guayaquil, but it also became a driving force for social change by raising more than USD 50,000These funds will support important social causes that impact hundreds of people in the country. In addition, the event included 10K and 5K categories for men and women, with divisions for 18 to 40 years and 41 years and older. In addition, the 2K category was aimed at boys and girls, segmented into two groups: 4 to 9 years and 10 to 15 years, encouraging the participation of the entire family.
The funds raised will go to three foundations that work tirelessly to improve the quality of life of their beneficiaries. Brother Miguel Foundation will use the resources to improve its occupational therapy area and provide treatments to patients with diabetic foot. Being Happy Foundation will build his new house to continue helping more people without the rental costs, and the María Gracia Foundation will work to eradicate childhood malnutrition, supporting pregnant mothers and children up to 2 years of age with medical and nutritional care.
BMI Run4Health not only stood out for its social work, but also for being a space for family gatherings and fun. Attendees, in addition to competing, enjoyed complementary activities such as warm-up exercises and relaxation massages. A magic show and several contests completed the day, creating an inclusive atmosphere full of positive energy. The race was also an opportunity for competitors to share with their loved ones and, thanks to its nature, pet friendly, many pets joined the race, running alongside their owners.
