The “Team Nat” Foundation was created to raise funds for neuroendocrine cancer research, raise awareness and help those affected by this rare type of cancer. Neuroendocrine Cancer is one of the most difficult to detect and patients are frequently misdiagnosed. It can take years to diagnose this type of cancer, even after many of the symptoms appear. It is increasingly common, however little known. Many doctors have little or no experience with this type of cancer. There are approximately 500 to 1,100 cases per year in the United States.
Funds raised from the “Team Nat” Foundation go to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
